Sidewalk Art Projects For A Cause. 

Saturday, April 10th, 12:00 to 6:00 

Pioneer Park in Reedley 

Purchase a sidewalk square to chalk into a work of art!  All supplies included. 

100 percent of the proceeds funds children’s art workshops this summer. 

Sidewalk squares can be purchased for $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children. 

There will be a free Chalk the Walk area for toddlers. 

A Face Painter will be on hand too! 

Bring your creativity and enjoy a fun family event.

Jan 13th 2010 CALL TO ARTISTS – Blossom Trail Art Exhibit

A Blossom Trail Art Exhibit featuring fine artwork by local artists is schedule for the month of March.

Art must be of the Blossom Trail theme and this exhibit will be publicized to those traveling the Blossom Trail.

It is the Kings River Arts Council’s goal to bring additional visitors to our town of Reedley and to our local artists.

The art will be exhibited in the Reedley Chamber of Commerce offices and will be available for viewing for the month of March during regular business hours.

One piece of art has been donated will be available to win through raffle tickets.

An artist reception is planned for Saturday, March 6th at 12:00.  The art exhibit will also be open to the public for viewing on that Saturday from 10:00 until 4:00.  Invitations will be available for the artists to send to their friends, family, and fans.

Art submission deadline is Friday, February 26th.  The art will go up on March 1st and will stay up through the month of March.  Art can be dropped off during business hours in Fresno at 1281 E. Alluvial Ave, Suite 101 to Melanie Fountain.  Or art can be dropped off during business hours in Reedley at Shinn Photography Studio at 1015 G Street.  Any art being mailed must be sent to the Reedley address and include return postage.

There is no prospectus for this event.  All art submitted must by family friendly.  All art can be available for purchase at the artist’s discretion.  All sale transactions are the responsibility of the artist.

Award ribbons for First, Second, and Third place will be awarded.  All artworks must have a label with the show title, artist’s name, and piece title,   Wall art must be ready to hang and can not be larger than approximately 36”x36”.  Sculptures, fiber art, and fine crafted wood art will also be accepted.

Jan 6th 2010 Mardi Gras Art! – Call To Artists

It’s a Mardi Gras themed Art Event!

Art containing mimes, clowns, jazz themes, musicians, etc etc….This is a Mardi Gras themed Art Show.  If it looks the part, then it is Mardi Gras art!  All pieces must be wall art, ready to hang, and no larger than 36” x 36”.

This Art Show is being organized by the Kings River Arts Council.  The Art Show will be hung on the walls of the Mainstreet Café, located on G Street, in Reedley, Ca.  The art will go up on January 30th and will stay up through the month of February.

Mainstreet Café has a large clientele.  Your art will be viewed by many people during this event.

Art submission deadline is Friday, January 29th.  Art can be dropped off during business hours in Fresno at 1281 E. Juried Reedley Fiesta Art Show – Best of Show wins $300.00 and a one-man show at the Kings River Arts Council Gallery in the Reedley Opera House.

Eligibility:

All regional artists
Limit two pieces per artist
$20.00 entry fee per piece, King River Arts Council Members and Students, $10.00 per piece.
Art must have been created within the last three years by a living artist.
Any hanging art must have wire attached for hanging
No copied work

Categories:

Oils, Acrylic, Pastel, Water Color, Color Pencil, Drawings, Sculpture, Pottery, Gourds, Multimedia, Photography, Digital Art, Home Arts, and Quilts. Quilts will have a separate judge. There are two classes – Professional and Amateur – Both classes have cash prizes.

Sep 8th 2009 ArtHop on Reedley’s G Street

Thursday evening, September 17th, from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

ArtHop happens in Reedley the third Thursday of every month.  Artists set up with their artistic pieces in Pioneer Park.

There are also an interactive kids art area and Chalk the Walk (sidewalk chalk art the public can do).

Sep 8th 2009 Public Art Show at Sierra Kings District Hospial

The Grand Opening of the new wing of the Sierra Kings District Hospital is Sept. 26th starting at 9:00am.

Kings River Arts Council is proud to be a sponsor of a public Art Show to happen in conjunction with this Grand Opening.

The new wing is a wonderful addition to the hospital.  Come out and see the new area, chat with administration about the new programs, see all the beautiful art, and meet the artists.
