Jun 15th 2007 Jane Ziegler Artist Reception

The public is invited to a reception Friday June 15 from 4-6:30 p.m. honoring the art of Jane Ziegler, winner of the Best of Show prize at the 2005 Reedley Fiesta. The art exhibit at the Reedley Opera House Gallery is a combination of her own paintings and the work of her students at the Sierra School in Badger.

Jane’s paintings and pastels are an eclectic collection of landscapes, children and things not immediately recognized as painting subjects such as the cell towers on American and Cove roads.

The student work are puppets representing the characters in Mozart’s Magic Flute. For the past year the students, under the direction of Jane, have become very well versed in not only the characters but the whole opera and next December will perform their adaptation complete with sets, lighting and arias.
